Through community collaboration using direct contracting, self-funded and fully insured employers increase access to health care, increase the quality of care and decrease employer health plan costs.
Employers join the Alliance to drive changes in the health care industry focusing on purchasing value of care rather than volume of care. Members access a different financial model for delivery of health care while still maintaining their existing employer health plans. Through cost plus pricing provider agreements, a preferred provider organization has been created where providers now share in the risk of delivery of care, employers are better able to predict health care costs and more intelligent conversations occur regarding health care utilization.
